Offline first

The core task should work without a connection. Sync is an enhancement, not a precondition for using the product.

Explicit data boundaries

Each app has a written account of what it collects, why, where it goes and how it is deleted. Permissions are requested at the moment of use.

Portable by default

Notes, surveys and datasets can be exported in a standard format. Leaving should not require a support ticket.
